Magdalene & Daniel
September 4, 2026
I remember the first time I saw Daniel, I was at Battle Axe retreat in Maryland and he was sitting in the media booth. I was head of the welfare team and all team leads were told to go to the media booth to get badges for their teams. I asked Daniel for our badges and he looked up at me briefly, handed me the badges then asked if my team could help him manage shirt sales. I didn’t know it at the time but Daniel had designed the shirts and those shirts were the only reason he was at the retreat.
During the retreat Daniel and I worked together to sell the shirts, he kept messing up the shirts I neatly organized lol. I almost kicked him off of the sales table. From the moment he and I began speaking we just clicked, it felt like we had known each other for ages, conversation flowed easily. I told myself that he and I would make good friends, but that I would not ask for his number because I did not want him to even remotely think I was interested in him. At the time I completely against getting involved in a relationship with anyone.
The last day of the retreat, so many people kept asking if we were taking orders for shirts beyond the retreat. Initially Daniel initially refused but he eventually agreed and so we exchanged numbers to make it happen. We spoke on the phone after the retreat and each time conversation would deviate away from the shirts into our personal lives. I remember telling my sister that I had finally found a good Christian brother to be my friend who was not interested in me… lol.
One day about a month and a half after the retreat, Daniel told me he wanted us to take 21 days to pray about the purpose of our friendship. I was upset because I felt like he was complicating our friendship, but I agreed to do it. During that period the Lord told me about our purpose and that Daniel was the man for me. I had my hesitation, but decided to trust God.The end of the 21 days arrived and Daniel told me he needed more time before discussing things. I almost blocked him, because I felt he was unserious, lol. Thank God for the Holy Spirit stopping me! I decided I would just keep being Daniel’s friend and get to know him more without expecting anything else. Daniel began calling me daily even though I never called him. I was not going to be chasing a man oh. Daniel eventually told me he was interested in beginning a relationship aimed at marriage. Apparently, God had highlighted me to him the moment he saw me at the retreat. We began our courtship journey and now we are getting ready to walk down the aisle. Daniel has been everything I asked God for and more. The more I experience Daniel and get to know him, the more I thank God for him. He is the best God could have ever given me and I am so excited to become his wife.
It remains a profound mystery how divine mercy is manifested. In 2024, I had the opportunity to attend a significant retreat, an event I was initially hesitant about due to various personal challenges. However, as I was assigned to serve there, my attendance became a practical necessity, a decision I have never regretted. Through divine grace, I was able to participate and contribute.
My responsibilities were initially split between two departments: selling merchandise to attendees and working with the media team, a combination that proved challenging to manage simultaneously. While in the media booth, contemplating this dilemma, I was asked to distribute lanyards to all departmental heads. Several individuals came forward, and then I noticed a charming young woman approaching, who, by divine providence, I believe will become my wife. She was the head of the welfare department. As with others, I handed her the lanyards for her team, but she stood out to me, as if illuminated by the Holy Spirit. It is remarkable that I can recall her distinctly, even now, while the other departmental heads remain a blur in my memory; I truly believe the Holy Spirit drew my attention to her.
Following this, I refocused on my tasks and realized I needed assistance with merchandise sales. We then requested her help. Remarkably, it seemed as though she set aside her own duties, rallied her team, and efficiently organized and sold nearly all the items I had brought from Houston. I was truly astonished. This experience brought to mind the biblical account of Rebekah, whom Eliezer, Abraham's servant, found for Isaac. The key distinction was that I had no prior intention of seeking a spouse at that time, particularly not at the retreat. Yet, as it pleased the Lord, He orchestrated this encounter without my conscious effort.
Subsequently, the sales were so successful that people wished to order more items for shipment. As she was involved in the process, we exchanged contact information to facilitate these arrangements. The Lord continued to highlight her presence in my life, prompting me to seek divine guidance with my spiritual father and mentors. The Lord then provided a word, which has been unfolding daily, and confirmed His message through the mouths of His prophets (spiritual authorities). I am so glad I found my missing rib in the place of service and I am so glad God gave me this beautiful damsel. The remainder of this journey is being fulfilled by the power of the Holy Spirit. All glory be to Jesus!
Hi! My name is Winnie and I’ve know Magdie for a minute now. Wow…what a journey. Through years of growth, crazy experiences, memories and too many stories to count, I’ve seen Magdie grown into an incredible woman, and now soon to be wife!! Oh the stories, we can share. I’m so so happy for you, darling! Now more than ever, I want to you know that the One Who began this walk with you, Who’s carried you every step of the way, will hold you hand as you enter this new season, in Jesus’ name. Hi! My name is Matilda or Tilda and I met the bride in 1997 and we’ve spent a lifetime making memories (and a little bit of trouble), and I’m so excited to stand beside her. She is my partner in crime, my prayer partner, and my sister. Mags is so peaceful so I started fighting on her behalf in 2000 and I have been doing so since. Mags has such a giving and beautiful heart and Daniel is truly blessed. I can say that from the day they met until now, God has truly been the architect of their union. I have been blessed to watch them grow as people and as a couple. I have seen them make each other better. I’m grateful to call Daniel my bully, sorry, I mean my brother and I look forward to pressing his neck forever. I am honored to stand beside you both as God brings to completion that which he has begun. I love you both deeply and will fight anybody on your behalf.
Hi! My name is Meredith and I’ve known the bride essentially since life entered my body, but she probably remembers that moment better than me! It’s been a roller coaster since then and I know she’s tired of swooping in and saving the day so I guess she just HAD to find a man across the country. I’m so so excited that she has found someone who is the bone of her bone and who will swoop in and save the day for her now. Looking forward to joining them on their joyful day!
Hey! My name is J’Nesha Johnson, I met the bride at JMU (James Madison University), and I am so thankful for our friendship! We laughed so hard until we cried, prayed together, she stood beside me in my wedding and has been in my life for a long time! I am so grateful to be by her side on her BIG day!! I am SO EXCITED TO SEE THIS COVENANT!! I remember when she use to say that she wouldn’t get married! NOW LOOK AT GOD! God is FAITHFUL and I pray that he will continue to be faithful to MagDaniel all the days they live!!
Hi! I met the bride through our young adult ministry at church in Tacoma, Washington. What began as a friendship through ministry eventually led to us becoming roommates, sharing a home during a special season of growth and community.
One of my favorite memories is enjoying her incredible cooking, but even more than that, I cherish the many moments we spent in prayer and worship together. We often prayed for our future husbands, trusting God's timing and His promises. It has been such a gift to watch the Lord faithfully answer those prayers.
I am incredibly honored to stand beside her as a bridesmaid and witness God's beautiful work in her life. Seeing her marry Daniel is a testimony of God's faithfulness, love, and perfect timing. Praise God for answered prayers and for the beautiful story He has written for them. Amen.
Hi, I'm Nicole! :) I am beyond excited for Maggie and Daniel, and so honored to be part of her train.
Maggie is my dear sister and friend. Since we met in 2021, I have been so blessed to do life with her. Maggie is a firehouse – she loves the Lord and would do anything for Him. She is so loving and selfless, and her passion to impact the younger generation is truly inspiring. Maggie is a woman of prayer, full of wisdom, and on fire to make a difference in this world. From the moment she told me about Daniel, I just knew.
I'll be honest – I have only known Daniel virtually and through Maggie, but everything I have come to learn about him has shown me that he is exactly the person God was preparing for her, and her for him. He leads with grace, wisdom, and intentionality, and they share the same heart for the Lord and for people. Watching them, I have no doubt they are going to do great things together. I am so glad he is family now.
These two are a true power couple, and I am so ready to sing, dance, chop rice, and celebrate with my people!! ;)
Hello Everyone,
My name is Sway-Anne. I met Maggie while attending Nicole’s (fellow bridesmaid) wedding in Nigeria, and from the very beginning, Maggie welcomed me with such warmth, wisdom, and genuine love. What started as a prayer in a hotel room in Lagos blossomed into a beautiful friendship and sisterhood that I deeply cherish.
One thing I truly admire about Maggie is her heart for God and the way she pours into the people she loves. Her wisdom, discernment, and godly counsel have always left a lasting impression on me. Maggie is a woman who seeks Christ diligently, so I know her decision to enter into a covenant with Daniel was made prayerfully, intentionally, and with God at the center.
I am beyond excited for Maggie and Daniel as they begin this beautiful journey together as husband and wife. I pray your marriage continues to reflect God’s love, grace, and purpose. Congratulations, Maggie and Daniel. ❤️

My name is Coffi, and I’m honored to celebrate my friend and brother, Daniel.
I first heard about Daniel through a mutual friend Pastor David Abraham who told me about his passion for evangelism. From the moment we connected and started doing work of the Lord together, we quickly became close brothers and partners in evangelism.
Daniel is one of the most selfless people I know. He genuinely cares for others and is always willing to go the extra mile to help anyone in need. His love for God, passion for souls, and servant heart have inspired me greatly.
It’s truly a blessing to see him step into this new chapter of marriage, and I’m grateful to witness this special day. Congratulations to both of you, and may God continue to bless your union.

Hello! My name is David and I’m one of the most excited for this blessed Union. Daniel is simply one of the bestest (if English permits lol) humans I know. Down to earth, selfless, intelligent, looks out for people and most of all a true disciple of Christ Jesus. This beautiful union is already blessed and I’m honored to be a part of something this glorious.
Hi, I am Kelechi and I am most honored to be a front row witness to this Union.
Daniel(the Evangelist) is such a wonderful brother of mine, full of grace and a heart to seek God and serve people.
It was a joyous news when I learned of his leading to Magdalene who I have known from afar as a very smiling sister. I think they are very much alike in that regard.
In God, I trust they’ll make a beautiful couple.
